Here's a quick list of the steps that I'll talk about in more detail throughout this post. Measure the bed and calculate materials needed. Clear the bed area. Edge around the bed. Pre-plant larger trees and shrubs. Lay paper over the no dig flower bed. Cover the paper with compost. Top the compost with a layer of mulch.
